I congratulate the Municipal Tourism Office for spearheading the initiative of realizing our town's presence over the web. This is another leap for us who has constantly sought to provide for unbridled connectivity for scholarly research, investment-locator and a venue for people to know more about the Municipality of Lupon.

We approach the diamond anniversary of our town with an increased drive to make things happen now. Recently we saw the passage of the Local Incentive Code and the Lupon Economic Enterprise and Revenue Code. These two ordinances have significantly improved locally-generated revenues and offered considerable incentives to capital coming into our town.

Our ongoing computerization of the local accounting system with the implementation of the Electronic National Government Accounting System (E-NGAS) is part of the thrust to enable technology in simplifying an otherwise complex process of determining our state of finances and use of funds.The introduction of our town’s website is a complement to the task of harnessing technology to inform and be informed more. It is the manifestation of our desire to be transparent and interactive to the community’s needs and right to be heard. We intend to fine tune all initiatives from the local government with what is relevant, cost-effective and far-reaching.

DA Secretary Alcala visits Lupon

The Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, former Quezon 2nd District Congressman Proceso J. Alcala, made a fruitful visit to Lupon for the local farmers and fishermen.

Alcala bared that his department will include in its budget a provision of a modern agriculture projects in Lupon infront of LGU officials headed by the Hon. Mayor Domingo A. Lim and Provincial Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon.

Lupon Celebrates 59th Parish Fiesta

St. Vicente Ferrer Parish in Lupon celebrated its 59th Parish Fiesta on April 27, 2012.

Fr. Ed Baño is the current Parish Priest of St. Vicente Ferrer Parish and heads the celebration of the Fiesta in coordination with Local Government Unit of Lupon with the help of Hon. Mayor Domingo A. Lim.

New Ambulance for LGU Lupon

The Municipality of Lupon through the efforts of Mayor Domingo A. Lim and the SB Members acquired a brand new Ambulance. This project was facilitated purposely to augment the logistical requirements of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council.

This ambulance operates and ready for dispatch 24hrs, 7 days a week for and on the occasion of disaster and emergency situations. This ambulance will be utilized with a team of trained first aid responder in coordination with volunteers from DREAMS Rescue 166.

This declared Mayor Domingo Lim in his message during the mass civil wedding dubbed 'Kasalan ng Barangay' in Tagugpo, Lupon, Davao Oriental on Friday at Barangay Hall here during on the 91st Araw ng Barangay Tagugpo.

The 'Kasalan ng Barangay conducted by the Local Civil Registrar's Office headed by Mrs. Erma Ulan-olan in celebration of the Civil Registration Month with the theme 'Tamang Rehistro, Pananagutan ng Bawat Pilipino' supported by the LGU and Barangay Captain Renato Lanos of Barangay Tagugpo was designed to assist live-in couples to legalize their existence as a family.
