I congratulate the Municipal Tourism Office for spearheading the initiative of realizing our town's presence over the web. This is another leap for us who has constantly sought to provide for unbridled connectivity for scholarly research, investment-locator and a venue for people to know more about the Municipality of Lupon.
We approach the diamond anniversary of our town with an increased drive to make things happen now. Recently we saw the passage of the Local Incentive Code and the Lupon Economic Enterprise and Revenue Code. These two ordinances have significantly improved locally-generated revenues and offered considerable incentives to capital coming into our town.
Our ongoing computerization of the local accounting system with the implementation of the Electronic National Government Accounting System (E-NGAS) is part of the thrust to enable technology in simplifying an otherwise complex process of determining our state of finances and use of funds.The introduction of our town’s website is a complement to the task of harnessing technology to inform and be informed more. It is the manifestation of our desire to be transparent and interactive to the community’s needs and right to be heard. We intend to fine tune all initiatives from the local government with what is relevant, cost-effective and far-reaching.
